Under the creative direction of Silvia Venturini Fendi and MAD Architects founding partner Ma Yansong, natural forms converge with a futuristic edge in a new sneaker worn by short-track speed skater Lin Xiaojun on the Harbin Grand Theatre designed by MAD.

The icon is deconstructed with varnished aluminium in a nod to MAD’s curvilinear architectural style, with wave-like forms sculpted to create a sense of continuous movement.
