Fendi at Design Miami

At the invitation of Artistic Directors Kim Jones and Silvia Venturini Fendi, Lukas Gschwandtner presents Triclinium at Design Miami.

The installation of his Pillow Portraits is inspired by reclining female figures, a common theme in Roman art and architecture that has long fascinated Gschwandtner.

Further linking his art to the city in which Fendi was founded, the artist positioned the canvas sculptures on chaise longues chairs in an arrangement reminiscent of the living rooms of wealthy ancient Romans.

During Design Miami, Fendi also inaugurated the second Fendi Casa flagship boutique in the heart of the Miami Design District.
