CELLULOSE-BASED FIBRES

FENDI’s responsible sourcing principles extend to cellulose-based fibres used for lining and packaging our luxury products. The aim is to ensure that wood for viscose and paper is obtained posing no harm to primary forests and encouraging responsible forestry management.

VISCOSE

Conscious of the environmental and social impacts of the viscose staple fibre and viscose yarn production, our Maison has built a specific responsible sourcing policy for this raw material even if the viscose represents only very small volumes in our creations. With this policy, FENDI encourages viscose sourcing from sustainably managed forests, under the certification Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

We are also committed to only working with suppliers who guarantee clean viscose production processes, maximizing the recirculation of chemicals and water.
