As a Maison representing the ‘Made in Italy’ worldwide, FENDI must ensure that all its products are free from hazardous substances and manufactured using safe chemicals.
As part of the LVMH Group, since 2019 FENDI works with the ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) foundation.
Additionally, since 2015 FENDI has developed the FENDI Testing Program, through which we require all suppliers to comply with the LVMH Restricted Substances List (RSL), aligned with international certification standards like OEKO-TEX®, and with local regulations (REACH, PROP65, GB 18401-2010). Suppliers are then submitted to assessment tests for this compliance.
On average, the Maison sends around 2,500 materials for all product categories to be tested each year by an accredited independent lab depending on the complexity of the products in collection, reaching more than 95% compliance.
Materials not compliant to our standards are rejected from production.
