In 2022 FENDI partecipated in the Adopt a School project, the educational programme created by Altagamma to promote technical-professional trades in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.

The programme calls for each of Altagamma’s partner companies involved to adopt one of the leading Italian secondary school technical and professional institutes, selected with the support of the Ministry of Education.

Fendi has selected Ostilio Ricci Institute in Fermo and Russell Newton Institute in Scandicci with the aim of training a new generation of specialised artisans to pass down the values of craftsmanship and to work with precision, manual skills, and creativity.

The course welcomed 21 students in Fermo and 16 students in Scandicci, for a period of two years, specifically in their fourth and fifth year of secondary school to acquire the necessary skills and techniques to become expert shoemakers and leathermakers.

The Adopt a School project is the latest in a series of initiatives organised by FENDI to convey savoir faire from one generation to the next while attracting young people to artisanal trades.

Once again FENDI looks to the future, investing in young people and in safeguarding their professional growth in the craftsmanship world, keeping alive that ancient tradition of professionalism, quality, experimentation, and culture that has always distinguished FENDI.
